- NDDOT Budget Bill (SB 2012) had
$155M for US 85
- $55M in state funds to match a $55M federal grant for the segment between ND Hwy 200 and RP 120.
- $100M in state funds for the segment between RP 120 and Long X Bridge.
- Project
Development, final design, right of way acquisition, and utility
relocations are under way for both segments. Projects will be bid ready
early this Fall. If the federal grant comes through, NDDOT will plan to
bid for both projects in the Fall of 2025.
- NDDOT is
also working on the design engineering of the segments between I-94 and ND
Hwy 200. NDDOT has not started any right of way or utility work. No
funding has been identified for the construction of those segments.
- Public Meetings were held in May 2025 in the
communities of Fairfield and Belfield North Dakota to discuss the segment
between I-94 and ND Hwy 200. Excellent and supportive turn out at
both locations.
